Rapido 3.2
Rapido 3.2 requires Dynamicweb 9.7.2+ and is released as a bacpac file created using the MS SQL Server 2014 format (version 12.0.4237). It can be imported into SQL Server 2012 with 2014 Client Tools using SQL Server Management Studio 2014 version 12.0.4237.
Rapido 3.2 has been released with the following headlines:
Features on Rapido 3.2:
- Printable papers
- Create your own brochure with product information, which can be printed or created as a PDF.
- All the styling and setup is made in backend where colors and fonts can be selected. Moreover, we can also choose which template layout design to apply on our datasheet
- Printable paper is a concept where we can create:
- Cover sheet: (Front page / back page) use for setting the image, logo and text
- Page sheet: A title and a content description
- Product list sheet: Presenting products on a list with product information such as an image, name, product number, selected product fields and price
- Product data sheet: Visualizing a specific product with its detailed info (product fields and category field information) on tables
- Digital warehouse
- The printable paper concept is used on the product page & context cart
- Product page: On the product page, there is the Generate PDF tab. We have applied new templates for the datasheet which are used in our Printable Paper concept
- Download/context cart: New features for the download cart has been developed. Now, you can either download an excel sheet of products or generate a PDF, where it uses the product list datasheet template
- Variant selector
- Decide between a variant tag selector or dropdown when showing products with variants on your product page. The dropdown is useful when you have products with many variant options
- The printable paper concept is used on the product page & context cart
- Checkout
- On the checkout flow it is now possible to configure different modes when you are a logged in as a user:
- Editable address: Both Billing and Shipping address fields are editable
- Static address: Both Billing & Shipping address are static fields, users can create new shipping addresses
- Read only address: Billing & Shipping address are static fields, and users can only select the address that is saved already. They cannot create new shipping addresses
- Anonymous users always have editable fields
- Support States/regions in Billing and Shipping adr.
- Support Tax information in checkout
- Required: Enabled The dynamicweb functionality 'Do not render user address in address loop' & 'Copy customer info to delivery info fields in empty in Settings/Ecommerce/Advanced configuration/Shopping cart)
- On the checkout flow it is now possible to configure different modes when you are a logged in as a user:
- Product families in frontend
- There have been issues regarding the way product families are rendered on the product list and product page
- We can now differentiate between Product families & Regular Product masters with variants
- Product family masters and variants do not render variant selector on the Product list
- A Product family variant setting is made to have a variant list, while having another design for Regular Master products and variants e.g. a variant selector tag / dropdown
- Impersonation layout
- Configure layout of the impersonation bar and select colors that matches the website. Choose between 3 different designs
- Type-ahead search is added when searching for other users to impersonate, which is beneficial if you have a long list of users
- Customer center My customers orders
- A list of a collected orders that the user has impersonated and made an order for
- Blocks
- All templates are translated to use blocks
- This gives you the opportunity to extend the code using extensibility points all over the site
- custom__blocks.cshtml files available for custom code
- Components
- Use components from our new component package for improved and easier implementation
- Components support reusable code and design
- Components can also be used togther with blocks

The following areas has also improved:
- Product list (Grid view)
- On the product list, it is now possible to select 6 columns to be shown for the grid view
- Promotion products
- When selecting products for your landing page Promotion products can be used.
- You decide how many products you want to be present on a row. You have the options of 2, 4 or 6 columns
- Mini-cart
- We have implemented a no layout feature for the mini-cart, it redirects directly to checkout when clicked
- Customer center - Profile page
- Hide buttons like: Edit profile, Manage address and Change password when having an integrated project, where all user information comes from ERP
- Open graph
- Open graph meta data enables any web page to become a rich object in a social graph. It is used on social media e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook when sharing a website link. Then users are presented with a preview e.g. title, image etc.
