Configuration of Email

Hello.

The config of email is very simple it seems. No DKIM supported, only SMTP.

How is this generally configured for DynamicWeb cloud solutions, with customers using 365?  Do people login to 365 from the dynamicweb instance or add dynamicwebs mail server

to the SPF record of the customers mail domain?

Cheers

Hi Stephen

We do not currently support DKIM. You can see what is supported here: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/platform/advanced-settings/web-and-http#sideNavTitle1-6

Usually the cloud SMTP service is used and added to the respective domains SPF records. Alternatively you can use SMTP services - i.e. Sendgrid and similar services.

https://doc.dynamicweb.com/training/guides-videos/other/using-office365-as-smtp-in-dynamicweb explains how to use 365.

365 can be an issue - it has policies as to how many mails can be send, how often etc. So if you have notifications setup in DW and a lot of them is sent, or many orders or the email address used as sender has limitations, you can run into an issue with mails not being send - we have seen that from time to time.

Thanks Nicolai!

Which email server(s)  should I pass on to the customers IT department then?

Cheers
