Rapido Browsersupport?

Hi,

Wich browsers are officially supported by Rapido? Or maybe the question should be - wich browsers are NOT supported?

Hi Torben

Netscape 3+, IE3 and Tor is our target browsers :-).

We've updated the docs with our support and tested environments: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/rapido/features#6521

Let us know if you encounter something. We got a report on some JS not working on IE11 on Win10 which is being fixed right now.

Thanks, Nicolai

Is there any ETA for the fix for IE11.

The browser support states support for IE11 in https://doc.dynamicweb.com/rapido/features#6521 and that is what we have communicated to the customer. And at this time it's not working at all. And of course the majority of the visitors for this customer use IE11.

Hi Aki

So do you want us to react on "not working at all"...? Or do you want to show and tell in a little more detail what kind of issues you have and what version of Rapido you use?

Also I would be glad if you provide a URL and description of the issues you encounter.

And I would never believe you when you say majority of visitors use IE11 :-).

Well there is a bunch of javascript methods that is not supperted på IE11 that Rapido uses. I thought from your reply that those were the issues that was about the get fixed. Examples are "IsInteger" and "includes".

We use 2.0 but I saw now that there is an 2.01. But the release notes does not say anything about javascript.

OK, maybe not majority :)   But unfortunately there is a lot of customer with old software. The stats for IE11 is pretty high for their current site.

Hi Aki

Ok, I cannot guess where it is not working - a quick browse around seems to work fine in IE11, eventhough it might have rendering errors here and there. If you want to file a bug report, please do so, but it has to be specific if you want us to deal with it.

There are not a "lot of customers" with IE11 on the public internet. You have a customer who has an issue, fine, file a bug report, we will fix it. No need to exaggerate :-).

Do you know what this report is about? My guess is that it's the same problems I'm having. I'd rather not spend time creating a detailed bug report if these are already being fixed.

Hey Aki, if i'm reading this right, it says that the backend browser no longer supports IE11 "The following browsers are supported by Dynamicweb for backend administration:". So this isen't related to Rapido or the frontend.

The BACKEND of Dynamicweb 9.4 is not supported by IE11. Frontend is something else.

Maybe the supportguys should read the case descriptions. It's not the first time I get response to something else than the case is about.
