Remove missing groups

Hi,

 

I'm having a problem with the data integration and the groups. I set up a job (see screenshot) to import the groups to an ECom destination, while ticking the "remove missing rows after import" checkbox, to delete groups which are no longer in the source.

However, even though new groups are added and the existing groups updated, the missing groups are simply not removed. Is there something I'm missing or is this a bug ? I know there was a bug with ecom destination and parentgroups, maybe this could be related.

Right now the solution is only local, I'm using V 8.8.0.1.

Hi Gaetan,
this maybe because you have the shop selected in the provider settings, so if the groups that are not in the import belong to other shops - they will not be deleted.

I tried to set it to "none", but it doesn't work either. Besides, I only have one shop in my solution.

BTW another issue I've also noticed is that when I set the destination settings for language and shop to "None" and save them, they're ok, but if I open them again, "DAN" and my shop are selected by default again.

Hi Gaetan,
it is needed to click "Save" or "SaveAndClose" on the job after you have clicked "Save changes" dialog button.
However for the language selector - if it is set to None the default language is used, so that is why it shows some selection when you open the job again.
Could you try to check also "Delete products / groups for the languages included in input" option and run with that?

Ok, I tried "Delete products / groups for the languages included in input", but nothing happens either, my surnumerary group is still there after I save and run the job.

Bumping the thread because I still have the problem. It seems that "Remove missing rows after import" behaves very erratically with an ecom destination provider, because it's not just groups, also products (seems to be ok for variant groups and options though). It should be pretty straightforward no ? After the integration my database should only contain the rows in my data source ?

Can I get any help on that ? It's getting seriously annoying and I need to know if I'm doing something wrong or if there's a bug somewhere that needs to be fixed.

I'm using 9.1.6 right now.

Hi Gaëtan,
could you describe what data is not deleted(what groups/products/etc) and attach your xml job files, the import data and send your web site database backup?

The problem TFS#29816 "Delete missing rows fails with shop selected" has now been fixed in version 8.8.1.34
