Sharing image on mobile/SMS

Hi Dw,

We've recently seen that when you share a Swift website on mobile in an SMS we see the Swift logo, and I cannot seem to figure out which image I have to swap out for this image to change.

Can you guide me in the right direction?

Kind Regards
Martin

Hi Martin

I think you need to replace the icons in this folder.

Hi Suzi,

That looks to be working, thanks!

Would be nice to see that it used the same favicon that is placed in website settings, rather than a hardcoded one :)

Appreciate the response.

/Martin

Also pages have an image now on its properties that are used for some sharing and og: meta data.

Hi Nicolai,

Thanks for the reply, I can see that it is being taken care of here: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum/swift/swift/favicon

So I have no further to add here.

Appreciate it :)

Kind regards
Martin

Hi Martin

You are referring to an iMessage specific feature - you can see here how it works: https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/technotes/tn2444/_index.html

If you once did use the link on your phone and then changes the favicon, it might be cached. These things tend to cache pretty hard.

You can try sharing https://dynamicweb.com/ and see how it works with open graph.
