PDF=True in DW 9.12.2

Hi community,

I have a strange problem on a newly upgraded (9.12.2) stagingsite. The function where you add "pdf=true" to get a PFG generated has stopped working. It renders an empty PDF so obviously something is failing. I cannot see anything in the Event Viewer log. I have another staging upgraded to same version and on that site it works as is is supposed to so its not something in core DW.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening (or perhaps encountered same thing). Could it be that something is missing från IIS installation?

Hi Aki,

My guess is that either the pdf implementations or imaging implementations are missing from your bin folder.

Which Dynamicweb version did you upgrade from? Did you upgrade using the package from the Documentation portal or the package on NuGet?

Hi,

Well it was an upgrade from 9.10.13 and was done using the package from the documentation portal. Copied to whole bin folder from the zip.

Hi Aki,

In that case, I think you need to open a support ticket. There isn't much more I can do, and if, as you suggest, it's something related with the server configuration, they're in a better position to help than I am.

Hi,

I've tested the issue using new solution based on last DW9.12 and Rapido 3.4.3 all and deployed in regular way, no any extra file was not added to bin folder etc. Here is video says about my check. As you see 'pdf=true' parameter allows to output page and product details as expected. So, your case seems to be specific issue of your solution, first of all compare version of the dlls in attachment with yours. Besides, we already have 5246: 'Certain template content causes IronPdf to crash on pdf=true' but it's about pool crush with specific template, it can be logged to Event Viewer correctly in contrast of your results.

Thank for the input Oleg.

I have created a support ticket. Its seems to be a server specific problem. The solution works fine on my development server but on the our staging (for some reason) the PDF are blank. Trying to figure out what could cause it. Never ad the problem before.
