"Failed to handle windows scheduled task" when set to ignore

There's a setting to not show the scheduled task error: "Failed to handle windows scheduled task".

However, it appears that it still reports in some situations. I can repro this by creating a dummy scheduled task and then deleting it. On the delete, the error shows up, even when the setting in the image below is set (Settings -> System -> Solution settings).

Ideally it shouldn't give that warning message when we have it set to ignore those type of messages (the error is benign).

Thanks,

Scott

Hi,

Could you please confirm if this issue has been resolved in application version 9.14.8? We're still encountering the same problem with this version. Kindly please see the attachment.

With regards,

Dear Nicolai,

Thank you very much for your prompt response. Could you please confirm if this issue will be resolved in the versions above 9.10, including version 9.14.8 that our customer is using? Additionally, can we safely ignore this warning message in the meantime?

With regards,

Shwe Yea

The bug in this thread was fixed in 9.10 long time ago. So 9.14 includes the fix mentioned here.

Now that I look at your screenshot, you message is different and not the one that this item is related to.

You see this error because DW cannot verify that the windows scheduler service is running. But if you have checked that it does, you can ignore the error.

Dear Nicolai,

Thank you for the confirmation.

We have verified that the Windows Scheduler task is set up correctly and that the scheduled jobs are running as intended. Even though the Windows Scheduler service is active, we still receive the "Windows scheduled task not found" warning message in the scheduled tasks list. We understand this can be disabled in (Settings -> System -> Solution settings), and we have already done so.

Additionally, when we attempt to add a scheduled task for data integration jobs by right-clicking on a job, selecting "schedule task," configuring the time, and clicking OK, we encounter the "Failed to handle Windows scheduled task" warning message. But the scheduled job gets created after that. Please refer to the attached files and recording for more details.

Thank you.
