In 9.6.12, we're having some issues with a customer that has configured some meta fields in File Manager on some folders. Later he decided to set meta tags in Settings > Control Panel > File Manager - https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/platform/areas/file-manager#3349
The problem is that
- We run into folders that have specific meta tags, and there's no option to "Revert to general meta data fields"
- If/When a user clicks on "Add new Meta field" from a folder, it immediatly makes it specific
It would be nice if we could give the user a better experience and feedback by:
- Adding the ability to revert to general/generic meta data fields (configured in Settings > Control Panel)
AND/OR - Clearly identifying that adding a new metadata on the folder will break away from generic meta fields
AND/OR - Add 2 "Add new metadata field" buttons - 1 for generic direclty and another one for making it specific
Just some food for thought. For now we found the workaround to go in throught FTP and delete the _sys_fields.xml file on the folders the customer reports (because we can't do it from the backend).
