Create user on form submit

Hi, I have made a form and I would like to create users when they fill in the form. Therfore I checked the checkbox 'Create user on form submit' in the settings and I selected a group. Nevertheless, if I fill in the form I will not be added to the group I selected. Does anyone have a solution for this?

You probably need to map the fields of the form to the fields in user management before it works.

I have read the documentation and all fields are mapped but it still does not work. What can I do?

Can't tell - you would have to provide a URL for the service desk so they can have a look.

Hi Nicolai, can you tell me more about this issue? We have planned a very big (national) campaign in which we need this function. The campaign starts in May, so I am a bit in a hurry.

Hello Nicolai,

I have tested this again for Nicole this morning and it appears that it does not work for known users.
Users that are already in the database, and fill in the form, are not added to the group(s) we set.
For unknown (new) users it works fine. I think it is a bug, what do you think?

For this customer and form we have the same issue as in https://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum/rapido-and-wrap/rapido-and-wrap/newsletter-form.
Users we add to groups via a form are not getting E-mail permission. 
As Nicole mentioned we have planned an expensive DM to over 100K people, that makes this pretty urgent.

Could you please have a look for us?

Hi Gerard

No, that is not a bug. It is on purpose - the email allowed tag will be updated to true.

I've added it as a feature request though, TFS#49483, due with next hotfix.

Hello Nicolai,

Is it possible that we plan a short call on this issue:
- I don't really understand which feature request you added: 'Email allow tag updated to true' or 'known users will not be added to the group we set'?
- I would like to know where I can find those TFS numbers and planning
- As we really need this point latest 15 May I would love to know when update to 9.4.10 is planned

You can find open bugs and their TFS numbers here: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/downloads/releases/bug-fixes/known-bugs

You can currently not see TFS numbers for feature request. But they will appear on this list when released: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/downloads/releases/bug-fixes/bug-fixes-for-9-4 (Currently not updating because of a bug in TFS - should be back during this week).

Hotfix releases are usually every Tuesday if nothing prevents a release.

Right now when a user exists, their email allow flag is updated when you subscribe a user that does exist. The new thing is that they also get added to the groups specified.

We experience the exact same issues as above. We have testet in different solutions - all upgraded to 9.4.11.

  • We cannot see that new users have email allow flag updated - but they are correctly added to the usergroup
  • We cannot see that existing users have email allow flag updated
  • We cannot add existing user to new usergroup

We need some information on how your forms are setup. Can you please provide a URL or post screen dumps of how your form is setup (Email field, and signup for newsletter field, pragraph settings). URL is prefered.
