Save files on axccount creation

Hi there,

I have created a custom field on a User of type File. When I render the field in the frontend as part of the account creation process, the file is not associated with the user in the backend. Is this by design?

If so, my next step would be to implement a UserSaved subscriber that runs at the frontend and grabs the file from the Request. Is that a viable approach?

Thanks,

Imar

Oh, it seems that the file *is* being saved, in the user's folder named after the custom field. Great. However, it's not being selected (nor visible) on the user in the backend. I am on DW 9, maybe that's why?

I've asked QA to take a look at this how it works in DW8.

Hi all,

Actually, the issue is reproduced on DW8 as well when upload folder is a top FM's one (MC-CP-Modules-UM-'Custom files folder' section) and it's OK when it's a subfolder (e.g. Files/UM). DW9 follows the same logic, so the workaround can be used as well.

So, I've created new TFS 26956 to fix the bug. Thanks.

Yep, I can confirm I do see the selected file when I set the Custom User Folder to something like /Files/UserUploads.

Thanks,

Imar

Hi Imar

The problem TFS#26956 "File uploaded via user custom field is not assigned to the field when target folder is FM's top folder" has now been fixed in version 8.9.1.0

You are able to find this build in the download section:
