Change name of attachment in email marketing

Hi there,

When I add an attachment to a newsletter sent with the Marketing tool I end up with a file name like this:

DomainsSitesDomain.comFilesFilesEmail-AttachmentGuide-for-Customers.pdf

for a file originally called Guide-for-Customers.pdf.

It seems it's appending the full physical path to the file name. Is there a way around this and just specify a user-friendly name?

We can fix the bug...?

Another good idea would be to link to the file instead saving a lot of SMTP traffic.

Bugged as TFS-24222!

Since this looks like an easy fix, I hope we can fit it into the next hotfix on the 8.8.1 branch.

For large batches with several thousand recipients it is of course important to watch the size of attachments as mentioned by Nicolai Above :)

The problem TFS#24222 "Attached files to email marketing should only have their file name in the mail" has now been fixed in version 8.9.1.0
