Notification e-mail when a customer buys something

Hello,

I would like to know if someone knows how to set up a notification e-mail when a customer buys something. I hope I have set everything right. If there is anything else in the settings, I would be grateful. Does it matter that DW-solution is installed locally, which is not live? Does it have anything to do with sending emails? Thanks in advance.

Best regards

If you mean an additional address, you can uncheck "Send to billing address" and specify your own recipient address.

If you mean that currently no email is sent (i.e. not to the customer), you need to configure a mail server under Settings | Web & HTTP | SMTP

Hi Imar, it seems that I set it correctly under the server is localhost, i.e. the ip address. Thanks in advance.

Port 80 doesn't sound like a valid port for a mail server to me. Take a look at the docs to learn how to set this up properly: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/platform/advanced-settings/web-and-http#sideNavTitle1-6

Hi Tomislav

On Cart you can add as many notifications mails you like.
https://doc.dynamicweb.dk/documentation-9/ecommerce/apps/shopping-cart#sideNavTitle1-2

You coould also use OrderFlow to send out mails when status is "new"
https://doc.dynamicweb.dk/documentation-9/ecommerce/carts-orders/cart-order-flows

If you are not able to send email from your local host, try using the "Save all emails to disk" option

Hi Kristian,

I seem to have set it up correctly and it still doesn't work..

The customer does not receive an email after making the purchase.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Thanks guys,

I did it, I shouldn't have set the "enable test mode" option.

Best regards

Tomislav
