Products url and trailing slash

Hi,

A customers SEO-company has pointed out, that the customers products are accessible both with trailing slash and without - like www.domain.com/folder/product/ and www.domain/folder/product.

I think I've seen a setting, for redirecting the one to the other, but cannot find it. Shouldn't Dynamicweb do this automatically?

The solution is running DW 9.7.2

Like this on Amazon?? (They cannot figure out about SEO):

Anyways, if you change your ecommerce urls to the new URL system in DW9.7, see dump 1, it will redirect. If you use the 'old' ecommerce providers you find under settings->web&http->customized urls, you will not be redirected.

Yes, exactly.

Thank you, I wasn't aware of this setting. It redirects nicely.

My only issue now, is that the customer wants the whole path with groups and subgroups to be present in the product path as well and not only the product.

Like http://www.domain.com/productgroup/subgroup/product and not http://www.domain.com/product, as it does now.

My setting are like this.

Hi Kurt.

You can configure both scenarios with the new url system. As long as your raw urls look like default.aspx?id=123&GroupID=Group1&ProductID=Prod1

Hi Nikolai,

I may be stupid, but I cannot find anywhere I can change that, besides the settings for the new URL system on the page.
The documentation is missing this section on https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/content/content/pages#sideNavTitle1-4-2

Should this work out of the box, with my raw url being correct?

That is strange Kurt,

Have you confirmed the Group's navigation settings?https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/ecommerce/product-catalog/product-groups#2699

Hi Kurt,

It should be accurate. Did you try to set up a primary group to the product to see if makes any changes?

And have you checked to see your Customized Urls settings to see if there's anything odd there?
