When using "creat user on form submit" in a "form for editor" form
is there a way to validate / approve the email with a link in the recipt email

this dose not seem to work when using "form for editor"
{{UserManagement.ApprovalUrl}}

I have also tried {{Submit.ApprovalUrl}} , but that does not seem to exist either

Hi Thomas

No, that is currently not possible.

I would like to understand your flow - why do you not use ceate user feature in your case - why are you using a form?

Hi Nicolai

Tanks for the fast respond

the form is a "sign up for newsletter"

"form for editor" can more easily be customized with the desired fields and look (with no need to edit a template)

to get "double opt in" I then see three option

1: two checkboxes one for EmailAllowed and one for Consent (don't know if this counts as "double opt in")

2: build a page that sets the EmailAllowed with form values in querystring, and a custom link to it from the recipt email

3: use ceate user (and setup the desired fields and look in a template)

Thanks
/ Thomas

If you need double-opt-in, go for the Create user. It is made specifically for this and if you need to change the template it is easily done...

Using an additional specific consent is not needed (regulatory wise) and does not act as double opt-in as anyone can still signup whomever.

Using forms in a ninja setup sounds like it will take more time than just fix the create user template.
