Query Facet Widget

Hello here,

- I would like to use the Query Facet Widget to show a graph of product types in PIM. There is already a structured query, which shows 5 different product types (field: Product_Type) and a corresponding counter value.

Based on the product.query have I added a facet on the "Product_Type" field, but the widget is empty, no matter what I do :-|

According to the documentation (https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/platform/platform-tools/dashboards) should it be possible, but the question is how?  And what 'Render type' should I choose for my facet field?

"Renders facet options for a particular facet in a graph-format, e.g. a pie chart of the values in the Manufacturer field."

Hi Michael,

It is correct, that it should be possible to show the values from the index in a graph.
How does the 'product.query' look like? Does it contain a lot of different Macros or other context related expressions?

We use the query to get the products, which is used as the base for the facet options, and if it contains some dynamic context, you will probably never get any products and therefore no options.

Do you maybe have a site, where I can see the setup?

Best regards,

Steffen

Hello Steffen,

- and thanks for your feedback on this topic. Dynamicweb support have in the meanwhile identified this as a bug in DW9.8.xx, and it should be fixed in the next DW 9.9.x.

Seems they have closed bug-fixing on DW 9.8.xx for now (and ever).
