Incorrect data in email statistics

Hi,

Is there any way to prevent the OMC from registering false clicks on links, and probably also false opened registrations?

While investigating an issue with the email statistics (a lot of recipients has opened all links in the e-mail), I noticed that some mail servers/clients/spam filters requests all links within an e-mail the moment it arrives. Ofcourse it would be the dream of every marketing manager that reciepients click all the links in their email newsletters, but to disturb the dream, if this happens within a few milliseconds it probably is not the recipeint clicking the links. In some situations it completely devaluate the quality of the statistics an make them worthless.

Since it is rather easy to detect would it be possible to prevent the OMC from registering this data or at least exclude those from the statistics?

Kind regards,

Ben

Hi Ben

You can probably set up a SQL server scheduled task addon that removes clicks that has been registered within X seconds of the sending.

Get an overview of the tables here: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/marketing/email-marketing/email-marketing#2287 and the tables called OMC*
