Swift: Issues with rendering youtube videos on product page

Hi,
We have tried to add a paragraf with videos on a product page. 

The link is as follow  (url is made anonymous):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxx

The video looks and work inside ecommerce as I would expect it to work on the product page:



It doesn't work and it seems like a big task to modify the template.
Do we need a different youtube link format or have anyone modified the Swift template with succes?'

What Swift version do you use?

Hi Merethe,

They use another type of youtube link, but Im sure they can use a different format.

Should it just be like the one you have posted in the screencast?

Its version 1.21

I have tried with a different youtube link type without luck. Can I sent a link to the product to an email? :)

Im still missing a solution for this.
Ive tried the Swift 1.24 template and plyr.js file.
I have now a new youtube link type and now just get an error.

Any inputs?

It seems like you are using a link to the youtube video that contains additional parameters.

So we need to see the exact youtube URL you are entering to see what it is.

It should look something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsdy_rct6uo

Hi Nicolai,

I have sent the issue to DW Care as well because the link contains customer information :) 

 

But the link looks like your example above

If anyone else get this issue I found a workaround.

Solution with help from care was to have this format in the video link:

https://youtu.be/xxxx 

where xxxx is the ID from the video :)
