User Provider and Tax fields

Hi,

I am working on user integration with users and Avalara (taxes), but looks like the User Provider does no take the user tax fields into account

http://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-8/how-tos/providers/avalara-avatax#sideNavTitle1-6

Is this by design or a bug?

I can only get that data using the Dynamicweb provider so far.

Best Regards,

Hi Nuno,

the user provider uses the AccessUser table and its columns and I don't know how Avalara taxes works, where are those fields? In the AccessUser table or in some other table?

Hi Dmitrij,

They are created automatically when you set up Avalara, in the SystemFieldValue table like the credit card token associated to a user.

I know the User Provider also user other tables like AccessUserGroup, AccessUserAddress and AccessUserSecondaryRelation. Probably SystemField should be another one, because no all external sources don't know the AccessUserID, meaning that currenlty we need to use the Dynamicweb provider and develop a table script to get the AccessUserID based on what the source has (pretty much what the user provider does to set up multiple addresses).

Nuno

Hi Nuno,

I see what you mean - We'll add a task to Add the system fields to the UserProvider.

Hi Jonas,

Whenever possible let me know on which version you expect that to be available. Until then we keep having to set up workarounds for the new projects we keep having.

Hi Jonas,

Perfect thank you. We'll plan for that then on new future and/or that start on DW9, meaning all our running DW88 projects will use the workaround. That's an easy way to remember :)

Thanks again,

Nuno
