RMA for Live Integration

Hi guys,

I have a solution that runs on DW 9.8.1.

My customer needs to use the RMA in conjunction with live integration for Orders.

I see that right now, I can only use it with orders stored in Dynamicweb.

Is there any way I can extend it to "ask" for invoices or details in ERP?

Congrats with your certification! About time wink.

Currently it is not an option for asking for external invoices. 

In the live integration project there is a connector for the live customer center that will show invoices directly from ERP. You can use those as a base to create RMAs from orders only in ERP. But how to get the RMA record to the right place, I do not know...

I know about the connector to get the Invoices from ERP.

The problem is how the RMA is using the details. The RMA stores a link to an Orderline which makes it mandatory to have an actual Orderline to work with.

If we could extend the RMA to also allow storing information that is not connected to a DW borderline, we can probably make it work. Otherwise, we would have to save the selected remote borderline as a LedgerItem in DW and save the reference to the ledger Item Orderline.

Any idea about how this can be extended?

Yes, store the order as a ledger - create a ledger type of type RMA.

You will have to dig deep in the API to solve this - I have no easy pointers for you.
