Do you Support NAV 2018 / D365 Business Central?
I regularly get asked if Dynamicweb supports the latest version of NAV. In October 2018, the NAV name will go away. Instead Microsoft is moving forward with the name D365 Business Central.
Soon the question will become, does Dynamicweb support D365 Business Central? This post is an answer to that question.
Short Answer
- Dynamicweb supports NAV 2018.
- Dynamicweb supports D365 Business Central On Premise.
- The Cloud version of D365 Business Central is not supported and will not be supported in Dynamicweb 9.6 (Release End of January 2019).
Longer answer
- Dynamicweb's code unit supports the latest version of NAV 2018.
- Dynamicweb is maintaining a demo environment with a Rapido website hooked up to a NAV 2018 server.
- Dynamicweb's code unit is running on the latest developer version of D365 Business Central (12.3.23590.23945 "Tenerife": At the time I write this post). See attachments.
- Dynamicweb's code unit is a .fob file and is considered a C/Side Customization. As a result, it can only be installed on On Premise solutions of D365 Business Central.
- Any On Premise D365 Business Central with Dynamicweb's code unit will be categorized as 'RED' in regards to Cloud Readiness. Read more here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/business-applications-release-notes/october18/dynamics365-business-central/business-central-everywhere
