Hi there

We really need a better / easier way to restrict access to different users.

For instance the option to:

Hide the Management Center altogether
Hide the whole Modules area
Hide the whole eCom area
Etc.

Also it would be nice to be able to restrict which usergroups a user can send newsletters to.

Hi Rune

You can actually do that already.

In the Managament Center, system, solution settings, you can lock i.e. the MC, see dump 1.

You cannot hide the entire modules area, but you can hide each of the modules by going into modules, right click the module and set the permissions - see dump 2.

If you do that on the product catalog (see dump 3) the ecommerce node will disappear.

More on permissions can be found here: http://manual.dynamicweb-cms.com/Default.aspx?ID=6646

Let me know if this covers your needs.

Hi Nicolai

Thanks for the quick reply.

Well it just seams a bit cumbersome to lock each and every module.

It would be cool if it was just a list of checkboxes on the user. A checkbox for each section: Content, File manager, Users, eCom, Marketing, Modules and MC.
That would make it easy to determine what each user has access to.

Hi Rune

Yes, that could be nice. We are considering an easier model for setting up permissions.

Thank you for the input.
