Stock items in separate order

Hi DWs

Many of the webshops do not have a local stock, they buy from brokers, so that means that some of the products can have a longer delivery time than others.
Some products are also much heavier than others and requires different freight method than others.

We would like to see a function where:

1. the order could be split up into 2 orders in the buy process, where the first half is in stock and can be send right away, with ie. 40DKK in freight. and the second half is out of stock, but can be send later and with its own freight of 40 DKK, and both should be paid at the same time, in same session.

2. A client buys a couple of wine bottles and a load of bricks. Wine bottles have 1 freight method, bricks another. 2 order situations, 1 order payment through DIBS. Split order in ERP and DW.

It is active today on webshop.coop.dk I think where the order is split in different freight and delivery depending on product but with one payment including all orders.

@1: We have that on the way - maybe for 8.4 but where the split is done after order complete by the shop owner. But our implementation does not handle 2 shipping fees...

@2: so basically being able to attach a shipping fee to a product? and add them on the order?

Yes, one could be inspired by this method.: http://screencast.com/t/ZGRJXTDh

But also when splitting the order, it could be split in stock/out of stock.

A possibility to put a freight method on a perticular product would also be great, if it was split in the basket.

The client want basically to split the order into in/out of stock and let the customer pay for the out-of-stock freight also. (sometimes not or with a discount). But they want to ship as much as possible asap.
