Sorting of Facet Options

Hi,

Today the options in facets are sorted by name and that works in most scenarios. I have had a few customers who would like to have control over how the facets are sorted and I have seen that there are a couple of threads in the forum about this also.

So maybe we could have a setting where we can set how the sorting of options in facets is done.  For example: 

  1. By name
  2. By sort order in field settings

The "sort" is already there but is always set to "0" (From what I have seen).

Hi Aki,

 

To add to your options, here's a few we use (by customizing the code)

  • By number of results (desc)
  • By value (asc / desc)
    i.e. 
    • Value = 0.25 | Label = 1/4
    • Value = 0.66 | Label = 2/3
    • Value = 1 | Label = 1

In the best of worlds one would like to be able to set this for each facet.
