To get a user only the necessary fields he needs to pay attention to and on a similar/reverse logic of this request http://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum/feature-requests/show/hide-ecom-fields-in-language/variant?PID=1605 here's what would be great:
- Ability to set some fields to "only be editable at the variant level"
More than once we have fields like "Price" or custom fields that are not set on the product, but on the variant only
This is sometimes confusing for customers, because they change the field in the first place they find it
- Ability to hide fields on the product level (if they are only editable on the variant level)
This would ensure the user only sees what he can/should be able to edit.
