Restrict payment and delivery methods to user and/or user groups

We would like the possibility to setup rules on customer and/or customer groups regarding what payment and delivery methods they should be able to choose.
Example: Not all customers should be able to pay using invoice, so there would be good to be able to restrict this somehow.

One more thing...
Would also be great to be able to set default payment and delivery options for a customer and/or customer group.

Hi Martin

I'll note the request.

Untill then you can use permissions to keep to paragraphs with the cart on the checkout page and use permissions to swap the 2. On the paragraph, you can choose which payment/delivery methods are available.

Another option is to use the fee matrix on the payment/delivery methods and set groups on those and filter out methods that has a fee of 0 (setting the fee to 0 in the matrix for the group that should not see that option)

Hi Nicolai

Do you have more information on this topic. I have a customer that needs the same, but now we are running DW 9.4.2 and I can't see the possibilities to setup the different payment/shipping methods on customer groups/customer users?

We also had some similar requests and we had to improvise.

It would be nice to have it work out of the box.

HI,

One of our customers requestes the option to add a payment method called "' pay on invoice''

This payment method should also be available just for a restricted group of customers.

This Pay on Invoice method, should allow to pay later, after the invoice is send to the customer.

Is there any news on this topic?

Is this payment method by default possible with Dynamicweb?

There is nothing new on this.

But it is pretty simple to implement in the cart checkout template. If the user is loggedin, check if he or she is member of the group needed and do not render the pay later payment.

Hi Nicolai, 

As I am no developer and relatively new  to Dynamicweb, i don't know how to do this.

 

I have found the  Cart App involved.

 

And in Settings - E-commerce--> orders --Transaction costs, you can add a new payment method.

 

However there's no way to restrict a configured payment method to a certain group.  Does this needs to be custom developed? Or do I overlook a setting?

It has to be either custom or follow my workaround mentioned in my first answer in the beginning of this thread, using 2 paragraphs and permissions...

I guess we can take a look at it tomorrow! (see you soon)
