Hi,
It would be great to have the option to set the Cart to be remebered based on:
- Primary user (standard feature that's been there for years)
- Per session (existing feature labeled "Full cart isolation", essentially allowing 1 cart per session) - gets the cart based on the primary user
- Primary user + Secondary user (new feature that would allow a cart to me remembered based secondary user - defaulting to Primary user if secondary is not defined [not impersonating])
We've been using Impersonation a lot in B2B scenarios, where a user logs in and then impersonates an account (dummy user representing a company or facility). Ex:
- User A impersonates Company X
- User B impersonates Company X
Considering the options above:
- With setting 1 both User A and User B share the cart when impersonating Company X
- WIth setting 2, User A and User B see different carts for each session/browser/device when impersonating Company X, but their carts are not remembered
- WIth setting 3, User A and User B would have their own Carts when impersonating Company X and the cart would be remembered across sessions/browsers/devices
This is a follow up of this thread http://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum/ecommerce-standard-features/stop-sharing-carts?M=BasicForum&PID=1605
