This might be in 9.4 version du in 13 days, but when you publish a product to ecommerce, you can specify the primary group. See my dump.

We also have a request for being able to set a primary group for each shop/catalog.

You cannot set a primary group for PIM catalogs (as we do not mean it make sense)

thanks, I can't see it on the dump, but can you set primary group on multiple products in one go?

No PIM catalog make no sense, so I must have meant ecommerce group.

It is still a feature request. We are not sure primary group is the right solution because it is also used for other things that just URL and canonicals. So we have another feature on the drawing board for this - so you can set primary URL for a group relation for each shop.

9.7+ has a new Ecommerce navigation and URL system - that will eliminate this issues for products residing in PIM and published to Ecommerce - as long as the product is only in one ecommerce group per catalog.

The new URL implemenation has an index for each instance where the catalog is added. So you will not get duplicated URLs from i.e. PIM catalogs when using this approach.

I have about 4000 products without primary group selected.

For this products, i need to select our ecommerce group as primary for showing it in the sitemap.

Is there any way not to do it by hand.

Any sql query for example?
