PIM : Enriching Checkboxlists

Hi,

We have a PIM solution with a lots fields of type "Listbox" (Displayed as CheckboxList).

When the customer does an export and includes these types of fields they are not able to enrich it through excel. In the field that is rendered in Excel its only possible to select one value.

It would be very nice to be able to enrich these types of fields also with Export/Import of Excel.

Regards / Aki

Hi Aki,

When exporting to Excel, we assign "Listbox field values" into a Excel dropdown-list.

The "Excel dropdown-list" we use, can only select one value at the time. If you want multiple values selected, they can be typed in with "," as seperator.

I will add this "Feature request" to our PIM development backlog, to find out if Excel can use "Multiple selector".

Hi Søren,

Another feature request would be to be able to select or configure that separator. I one of our solutions there numerous fields of type checkboxlist where values have "," in them. And that makes it of course impossible to enrich with Excel export/import. (A customer made an import with values containing "," and wiped a lot of data).

Hello Aki,

- have you found any solution or workaround to bypass this limitation with multi-selected values?

It still seems to be a issue in DW9.10.x

Hi Michael,

Unfortunately no.

In a current PIM project, for the intial population of pim, we have made a console application that populates those fields by adding data directly to the DB.
