paragraph ID and news page improvements

Reply

Hi,

A global tag for the paragraph ID would come in handy for some modules.

In the news_v2 module, would be nice if the paging hrefs would come with the current paragraph id, so we could have other news lists that would not be affected or even, have an open news and be able to page the list, without the news changing.

Best Regards,

Nuno

A global tag is Global because it has the same value in every template on the same page. On one page there can be 10 paragraphs with different ID's - so ParagraphID cannot be global.

Ok, I understand the problem. Anyhow, I was requesting it because of the news module paging. There is a need to have multiple lists in the same page like (http://d896069.www51.dynamicweb.pt/Default.aspx?ID=321 and clicking page prev and next, we wanted to simply page the paragraph we pressed on.

I know we cannot have Paragraph #1 newslist in page #3 and Paragraph #2 in page #2, unless all was done in Ajax, but we should be able to page the news list correctly.

Nuno

By adding the PID parameter to the querystring, you tell which paragraph you want to apply the action to. I just tested this, and the paging feature is actually implemented like that in them default templates.

Hi Lars,

That is great I will add the PID after the previous and next buttons. Thanks a lot
