Only load BOM products when needed

Hi,

 

We have a project that list Parts lists in the product list and we noticed that Dynamicweb always loads the BOM products

Could we wrap these request around a TagExists so we don't spend time and resources when not needed? I noticed what an instance of the template is not available in this method, so that might be tricker and/or have more implications, so I have to rely on somebody who knows more about this than me :)

Hi Nuno

I think it has to because some of the versions of the BOM products have a price that is a sum of the BOM product prices...

So there is no quickfix for it - that would be not to load BOM products for parts lists that have a type of price that is not calculated.

An alternative is to use regular products and use a related group for the parts. that messes up the cart though.

Got it. That makes sense then. I may be even able to use the Query Publisher instead.
