Only index active products

Hi Dynamicweb,

 

We have some solutions with many products and it would be nice to have on option only to index active products to reduce indexing time and IO on the disk.

Hi Anders

There is actually a field on the product, ProductExcludeFromIndex, that can be used... If you are getting data from integration, you can set that to the active state.

The alternative was that we add a setting to the product index builder that can switch this.

Hi Nicolai,

 

I can see 3 "Exclude*" fields in the database, but not in the interface. Is that by design?

Hi Nicolai,

 

I would be very need to have this setting as a lot of our integration jobs are set to "auto mapping" and this will then cause changes in the integration, and for some solutions products are deactivated when not in the import and then this field cannot be set.
