Management center and paragraph module settings options changed

Hi guys,

Had a discussion with guys in the office, and we came up with an idea.

Sometimes it is vital to know what changes where done for pragraph modules, or what changes in Management center happened within the last day or week. f.eks.

 

At the moment DW is not logging this. it could be great if in user-friendly way, you could browse history of changes of management center, pages, ecommerce, etc...

Hi Dmitrij

There are some of it. You can enable versioning for an entire area - that would give you a complete overview of changes back in time and you can see previous versions of the pages. See http://manual.dynamicweb-cms.com/Dynamicweb-On-line-Manual/Modules/Version-Control.aspx

Also in management center, there is a node called audit which will give you a list of things happening in the administration. It is lacking a lot of information, but it will give you some idea of what editors are doing.

You cannot see any changes made in MC settings though.

And that is a nice thing to have. We (me and my collegues) really like what you guys did with allowing to read log via MC.

Simmilar approach could be taken towards other system-important changes.

 

It is not crytical to have it, but just saying as an idea. :)

 

There are more important feratures I am looking forward to, one of them is Forum post filtering for forum. I think we had quite a good discission about details a while ago...
