Improvements to Failed Logins

Hi,

We gathered a list of failed login scenarios what would be great if they had some improvement:

  • Monitoring Tool info
    • When the user has gone over the failed number of attempts OR password has expired, nothing is logged. This makes it harder to track down situations.
    • Could something be added?
(not to normal incorrect login or password situations - that may fill up the logs too much)
  • Expired password
    • Currently the "DW_extranet_error_uk" tag is not being populated when it expires (unlike number of attempts and "blocked" state)
    • Can this be populated?
    • (edited) A new tag for PasswordExpirationDate would also be helpful
  • Notify / Allow users to update password prior to expiring
    • There is no standard way (schedule task) to notify users that their passwords are about to expire.
    • Can there be a standard schedule task that would notify users X days prior to expiration and (maybe a template or a parameters or a mix) point them to a page where they can update it?
  • User status in the backend
    • Would be great that in the user card in the backend we could determine
      • If they are blocked
      • If blocked, up until which date-time
      • DateTime of password expiration
    • This would allow us to do better auditing on users not being able to login as well

Best Regards,

Nuno Aguiar

Forgot to mention there's also a missing info/tag on the user which is the password expiration date.

Maybe not directly in regard to this request, but is there a standard way to show an error message when an extranet login atempt is failed?

I am not using the Extranet paragraph login module, but I am using the login template on page settings.
