We had the same question from one of our customers. I removed the standard Icon from the File publisher template and I wrapped the File publisher table in a DIV container.

When you do this, you can insert Mootools to your website and read all the link attrubutes within your DIV container. When you have all your link attributes ending with .docx of .doc (or something) you van add a class that has a background aligning left with a perfectly shaped Docx icon :)

Thanks for the workaround - should work perfectly - but I still think that this could be solved so much easiere with just adding the icon to the modul - but if the DW developers says otherwise - then i now know what to do. Again thanks.
