Hide pages from navigation

Hi,

Working with big clients and lots of pages, we usually need to hide/unpublish pages, but not delete them for either backup or some other reason.

If we could set up the navigation to show/hide pages according to it's features, would help clean up / organize the navigation list.

Not sure I understand.

Do you want to remove them from the tree in administration? And how would you find them Again?

Hi Nicolai.

I did not think a lot about it, but in attachments there's a suggestion.

An "eye" graphic could indicate filtered/unfiltered Navigation tree, and clicking on it, have some view filter options like:

 - unpublished

 - clickable

 - hidden/visible for desktop/tablet/mobile

 - with/without direct path

 - ...

Hi Nuno

I get the idea.

What if you filter by "Clickable" and you have this structure:

Page1 (Clickable)

Page2 (not clickable)

- Page2.1 (Clickable)

  - Page2.1.1 (Clickable)

  - Page2.1.2 (Clickable)

- Page2.2 (Clickable)

That would hide all pages under level 2?

Hi Nicolai,

Well, yes, in fact it would, the same if we would use it as "Hide for Tablet" instead of "Clickable" in your example.

Some of the page features would not make sense, and the "Clickable" is probably one of them.

Like I said, I did not think much through about the pros and cons, but having something like this would make my job a lot easier due to the page management I have to do in big clients.

Maybe add a "Apply to X level" dropdown could solve some issues?
