Hide DW comments from output

Is it possible to disable rendering of DW system comments? It creates a lot of noise in the output, as seen below.

Yeah, it would be nice to automatically remove comments, if they were not replaced with content.

Furthermore, it would be even more nice, if the online file editing tool didn't change special chars ("å" to "ÂY") as in third lowest line in the screendump below

While we are on the subject of tidying up the output, is it also possible to strip the ID from containers with the dwcontent class?

It is, but a little more tricky since they could be used in your css...

So either as a setting on the settings attribute or a naming convention - like id="dw*" would be removed.

Yes – or it could be a setting somewhere in the management center, perhaps?
