Assign template to an item in management center

It would nice if you could assign a template to an item in the management center.

As it is right now you have to create a template for each item, or let the user choose the template.

If you could do it in the management center both issues would be removed.

Hi Sebastian,

You can already do that. Under Management Center | Frontpage | Layout tab, click Item page layouts or Item paragrph layouts. Here you can assign the default templates for each type for each area in the system.

I think that naming the template after the type should also pick it up automatically but I am not sure.

Excellent, I didn't know about the 'Management Center | Frontpage | Layout tab' method.

The same functionality can be found for the specific website in the Website module.
