Alt text in Image Selectors

Hi,

 

This is starting to come up more and more because of SEO and Accessibility. We have the image selector scatered around in the system (attached).

 

It would be great if we could set the alt text directly when we choose the image, and then have that as a tag in the templates.

This is an older post, but wondering if anyone is aware of a native DW9 solution for modifying/adding image alt-tags that has been implemented since 2020?

It has not been implemented.

You can create meta fields for images: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/files/other/metafields

But you have to write that information in the file manager for each image - and where the image is used, read that information and write it out to your template.
