Currently the Abandoned Cart recipient provider allows for us to choose from a dropdown of hours to set:
- Mark Abandoned after
- Exclude orders older than
The most common scenario we can set up is for these emails to be scheduled every 24h, however some orders are always dropped. If we:
- Set the scheduled task to run at noon (12:00)
- Mark abandoned after 4h
- Exclude orders older than 24h
This means that all orders placed between 9 and 12 are never picked up
Ideally this would be solved if we set "Exclude orders older than 28h (24h of the scheduled task + 4h for the mark abandoned), but that's not possible.
If the dropdown of hours would be replaced by an input (type=number) box and/or the exclude orders could be calculated based on the scheduled task (and/or have a warning), would be easier for customers and less error prone.
