Trouble loading a large number of Product Groups in a hierarchy

I am workiing on a project where we are going to have around 31,000 product groups built into a hierarchy and we are having trouble getting that to load in the backend.  Any suggestions on how to get this to work?

Hi Byron

Can you ellaborate a bit more - what is your structure?

Do you have one parent with 31000 children or how is this organized?

Also try to disable product counts:

Hi Nicolai,

We have a hierarchical structure that can be up to six levels deep and will contain up to around 31,000 product groups. If you think of it terms of vehicles an example would be as follows:

 

Level 1 Make

Level 2 Model

Level 3 Model Year

Level 4 Axle

Level 5 Subcomponents of the Axle

Level 6 Individual parts associated with the subcomponents.
