Translate Ecom groups only not products

Is it possible to only translate ecom groups but show the products from the default language in the frontend?

I tried this and can see the translated groups but there are no products unless when they are translated to the second language.

We prefer not to translate al products and show the product from default language if the product is available there. Is there a config or can some custom code achieve this?

Hi Remi

In MC, Ecommerce, Advanced configuration, General you can uncheck the checkbox "Only show translated elements". That will give you anything in the default lanugage, and if any of it is translated give you that instead. See attachment

Thanks!

It works for the products but for groups it does not seem to work.

I also expected untranslated group names but these are not visible until i have translated them.

These translated groups do show products from the default language as expected.

I have another issue with non translated products.

I can not find products which are not in the default language.

Tested with search and filters on dw 8.4.1.18

If the products are not in the default language and you are not running in the language context in which the product does exist, it will not show up.

Oke thanks. Then disabling the function "Only show translated elements" is useless because search does not integrate with this setting. Not sure what the original intent of this setting is, but for this case it is not advisable.

No problem but i will advise the customer to use a fully translated catalog or use 1 language instead.
