Setting up no shipping fee for certain orders

Hi

I have products in two product groups. When customers order products from group A there should be no shipping fee on the order if only products from group A are in the basket. But if just one product from group B is in the basket shipping fee should be added. Is this possible to setup by standard functionality or do I have to make some custom code?

You can add a weight and volume to the products in group b and let that trigger a fee?
