Repository task : auto build index on errors

Hello,

I'm having some trouble with a customer whose repository index often fails to build. To palliate for that, I set up an automatic index build every 15 minutes in the "tasks" part of the repository. It gets executed fine... unless there was an error in the previous build, in which case nothing happens (I can see that the last hour is the one where the error occured).

Any idea why this happens ? We use 8.8.0.5

Thanks

Hard to tell without informatin.

In /Files/System/Diagnostics you can find some logging - and an exception of what went wrong. Take a look at that to see what it can be.

Hm that's weird, the logs stop on June 2nd... Is there a way to get warned by email when the index fail ? It's a problem that happens often enough to be annoying, but not so often that I can reproduce it easily.

Yeah there's definitely something weird going on. For some reasons the logs don't write anymore.

Also I can see that the index was in error at 3 this morning with the message "Thread was being aborted", and then it never got rebuilt, even though I have the scheduling set up. If I build the index manually, the scheduling starts again.

Check your event view and stuff like that. Is this hosted by us? Any custom things? Any integrations that might be running around the same time?

I made sure that the different schedules don't overlap each other, moreover this time I got an error at 3, far from any other scheduled task.

It's hosted on our customer's server, I'm starting to think something's not right there as I have never seen that kind of problem before.
