ProductFields are not available after save

Hi guys,

I have an issue with the visibility of ProductFields and ProductCategoryFields.

Initially, I thought this is related to 9.9.x branch but I can see it in 9.10.x branch as well on a solution hosted in Dynamicweb Cloud.

Whenever I add a new field, the field is not visible in the interface unless I recycle the application. I have tried Indexing and reindexing without success.

This happens for ProductFields,ProductGroupFIelds and ProductCategoryFields. Is there some setting I am missing?

Hi Adrian,

I've been unable to reproduce this issue for Product Fields on 9.10.12. Can you elaborate on your setup, for example which Field Settings you use? Also which version of DW you experience this on?

Hi Jeppe,

Thank you for looking into this issue.

The issue is not consistent and I have seen it starting with a 9.9.x version. In this case, I was using DW 9.10.11 hosted by Dynamicweb with no customizations. Just plain PIM.

And there is nothing wrong with the field settings as the fields show up after a recycle.

I am suspecting some sort of caching but I cannot provide more information on the issue.

Hi Jeppe,

I have just upgraded to 9.10.12 and now I am experiencing another odd thing with fields.

Whenever I try to add a new ProductField, the interface freezes and it takes more than 5 minutes to get it back to normal.

If you want, you can test it out on http://xxxxx.com/.

On this solution we have about 50 ProductFields and around 6000 ProductCategoryFields.

The behavior of Fields management is critical for this solution since they will add or remove fields in the future.

In that case, I suggest you contact the Support department. That way we can get the issue handled through the proper channels.
