Product Personalisation

Dear Community,

I had read standard user manual on this topic twice, did a research on this forum but yet fail to move personilized products on top of the product list. My question is what possibly can go wrong with this? The entire setting seems pretty straightforward:

1. Created Personalisation profile and checked that my user is in.

2. Added manual personalisation for one chosen product with option SHOW ON TOP and saved the product.

3. I clearly see that the product got a comment next to the name indicating that personalisation is enabled.

4. Open INCOGNITO MODE on my browser and login as my test user and see no changes.

5. Notes

- I tried to run product index just to be sure that this is not causing the problem but it didn't help.

- I tried as well to play with setting "Personilize based on" but it didn't make any difference in the outcome.

My hope is that I am missing something super simple. The customer is interested a lot in visual merchendising and we are trying to present this feature as the way to manage it.

Thanks and regards,

Elena

Hi Elena

You are probably running a Rapido and it uses the index to create product lists. The index does not suppport personalisation.

Try to describe what you are trying to achieve - the user story - we might be able to give you other ways of achieving it.

Hi Nicolai,

Thank you for getting back to me!

The solution is not running on Rapido. Is there a way to change index settings?

The user story. They want to use visual merchandising to

- promote some of the products in the list by moving it on top; so it is more visible to the customer who is browsing the website

- arrange products by color or by type so the display of the products looks more attractive or creates random full outfits (ex. T-shirt is in the first line and the matching skirt is under; put on top red color products temporary for Chinese New year period)

All above must be applied to the default sorting.

Product personalisation seems a very good match for this and gives to the customer a lot of flexability.

Elena

Hi Nicolai,

Could you please let me know if we can change Product index and/or create a different index to update product list?

Regards,
Elena
