Permissions on product group

Hi

I want to make it possible for users in usergroup "Superusers" to set permissions on a product group called "Kontingent" in the root of the shop "FOA Bogshop" in the Ecom tree. I have set the permissions like this:

  • The product group "Kontingent" has no explicit permissions set. The only permission is the Full permission inherited from the shop (FOA Bogshop) - see screenshot below
  • UserA is member of usergroup "Superusers" and only this usergroup (user is a default user - not administrator or admin)
  • Permissions for usergroup "Superusers" is set like the screenshot below

But if I login as UserA, right click the product group "Kontingent" and choose "Permissions" I get this message: You do not have rights to manage permissions for this object!

Why can't UserA set permissions on the product group "Kontingent"?

Maybe the user belongs to other groups?

No, that is not the case. As I wrote UserA is only member of usergroup "Superusers".

I'll have QA test this particular case and see if it should be a bug...

Hi,

The issue is reproduced on last DW9.10.1 as well. Full permissions seem not to be inherited to product group from parent properly. I've created DevOps bug 967. You can set the permissions on the group evidently until fixed. Thanks for observing.

The problem with permission on product groups has been resolved in Dynamicweb release 9.10.5
