Hi,

Can't we have Parts lists with Stock locations?

I noticed that simply by setting a products from Stock Item into a Parts list disabled that choice in 9.4.12

A parts list consist of other products that have a stock status. The Parts list container product it self does have stock level.

Hi Nicolai,

(Sorry about the late answer)

What confuses me is that you can set the "Parts list container product" a stock amount and everything seems to work fine. In fact I found it useful for when customers want to sell (for example) 50 parts list only, and the products that consist of it have +50 because their are also sold seperately.

Although this is not a common scenario, it does happen every now and again and limitation on stock locations (in this case) can cause big headaches for us, since they become misleading as to what Dynamicweb can actually do.

That said, if Stock Locations are really not available for Parts lists, despite a specific stock amount is, we'll consider this for future implementations. Fortunately my project product data has changed and this became less of an issue.
