New Indexing override default parameters

Hi,

In two projects we are trying to override the paremeters to a default value e.g. forcing to show all the new products. The problem here is when we set the default value we lost all products and when deleting the previous default value it remainins with no products.

Hi Antonio

I can't reproduce that problem on my test setup running latest release. Please submit a case to the service desk and prepare a copy of the site for download so we can investigate

Adrian, your issue must be something else. This feature was released in 8.8 - could you ellaborate on what you are experiencing?

Hi Nicolai,

I have a Product Query and some parameters.

For one of the parameters I have set a default value.

According to the documentation, I assumed that the default value for that parameter will be used when the parameter is not present in the context.

Which does not happen.

You can have a look at http://austral.dotfusion.ro in the Austral Products Repository

The repository is used only for search. If I remove the parameter form the Search URL, there are no results retrieved.

austral.dotfusion.ro/cauta?eComQuery=BIB006&Spn=0

Spn is the parameter I am talking about. I wanted to avoid putting the parameter in URL for searches that default to 0.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks,

Adrian

It does. It might have something to do with the bug above - it seems related. It could also be that you reuse the eComQuery querystring parameter. That is from the old db search of ecommerce. Will have it checked out.

Hi All,

The original problem should be solved if you download DW 8.8.0.2 from the download section.

@Adrian: Could you try if your problem is also solved in this version? Otherwise we will investigate!

Kind Regards

Christian
