New Image Patterns - not working in backend

Hi,

I was trying to use the new Image Patterns from 9.7 (in a 9.7.2 version) and it seems that they don't work in the backend. This makes it hard for the customer to realize if indeed the images are properly named.

Can anyone confirm if I am missing a step or if this is a bug?

Best Regards,

Hi Nuno,

Please, initially confirm that you have looked and understood the appropriate chapters (1 and 2) in DW manual and specify that is out of the description.

Hi Oleg,

Yes I had, and the only thing I hadn't done was clicking on the "Convert from Deprecated Image features". I cliked it, but for Rapido to work I had to activate the Compatibility mode under Ecommerce/Advanced configuration/ Images.

But I wonder if you seen the screencast because I believe it outlines the issue that the backend does not work with the new image patterns from 9.7. I am demoing the backend working with the old settings and then switching to the new settings and the backend stops showing the image.

HI Nuno,

Please, try to mark your alt. pattern as default before applying the feature as it's pointed in the manual. I've checked this on DW972 with Rapido 3.1 database/new created shop  and had expected results.

Hi Oleg,

I see where I was being mislead now. It's because after you have the new image pattern active, you can no longer set the default images. You can see that in your screencast at the end, when you go to the Shop settings for the last time.

Here's another screencast of mine explaning it https://www.screencast.com/t/TFpWjeuq23p

So in summary, it does work in the backend, but there's a bug where you can only set the default if you are creating a new pattern, in other words, you cannot make an existing pattern the default.
