Is there a limit on how many email addresses can be included in an email message? Or is there a recommended maximum number of recipients? We have an email with 176+k recipients that has been 'sending' for 4+ hours now.

Hi Terri

It all depends on the servers, smtp gateway and especially sending out personalized emails which is a much longer running process since we need to generate an email to each user.

If you setup a solution to use i.e. SendGrid as a direct SMTP, Dynamicweb has to send out messages one-by-one using that SMTP. Setting up a local dropfolder will be much faster, and then the dropfolder can use the Sendgrid SMTP as its gateway. That would probably speed things up considerable.

Could you describe a bit about the mail server setup and what kind of email you are sending?

If we can improve performance we will do what we can to do it on the code.
